Connecting to Wifi

ADC provides free high-speed Wi-Fi for study and work purposes

You will have received an email with your ADC wireless network 'firstname.lastname' account credentials prior to arriving at ADC. If you haven't received this, please first contact your Course or Work area point of contact. Additionally, you can contact support@adele.edu.au or attend DLT in-person. 

Note: These are not the same as your Google Workspace credentials

Note: ADC Wi-Fi use is monitored and only for official study or work purposes while at ADC. Breach of appropriate use may adversely affect your ability to complete your course or work.  You should discuss any concerns with your supervisor or course contact.

Adjusting Date & Time setting before connecting to the WIFI

Connecting to the Visitor WiFi

1. Open your Wifi settings and connect to the 'ADC-VISITOR' Wifi network

2. Once you have connected to the ADC-VISITOR WiFi, you should be automatically transferred to the login page. Fill out the details with your full name, email address and phone number. Leave the Sponsor's email to ADC IT Support as displayed.  If you have not been transferred to the login screen, click here.

Click the 'I accept the terms of use' button and then click on Register.

Please wait on this page for the ADELE Support Team to approve your access. 

*Note: There is a delay for the Support Team to receive the wireless access request. This processed may take up to 5 minutes. Please be patient and only send the request once.

After the Support Team has approved your access, the Log In button should be now be highlighted. Click on Log In and you are now connected to the ADC-VISITOR WiFi.


Connecting a Windows Laptop

1. Open your Wifi settings and connect to the 'ADC-LN' Wifi network

2. Enter the username and password sent to you earlier


*Note: These are not the same as your Google Workspace credentials.

3. Click "Connect" or "Trust" on any prompts


These are standard security prompts; to ensure you're connecting to the right network.

4. Navigate to https://www.defence.gov.au to confirm that your Wifi connection is now working

Connecting an iOS Apple Device

1. Open your mobile device Settings


*Note: Ensure that if you have a VPN installed on your phone that you have opened the VPN app itself and turned it off before beginning this process.

2. Open 'Wifi' settings

3. Select ADC-LN


4. Enter the username and password sent to you in your ADC Network Welcome email

5. Click "Connect" or "Trust" on any prompts


These are standard security prompts; to ensure you're connecting to the right network. 


*Note: If your device reports a failure to connect, please recheck your username and password and try again. The username is in the format ‘firstname.lastname’.

6. Navigate to https://www.defence.gov.au to confirm that your Wifi connection is now working

Connecting a Mobile Android Device

*Note: Google Pixel 7 and some Nokia device users may be unable to connect to the ADC-LN wifi network; please visit ADC IT Support onsite for assistance.

1. Open 'Wifi' settings and select ADC-LN

2. Choose PEAP as the EAP method when connecting the network to your device

3. Enter your wifi account credentials by filling the following fields (some devices may hide fields from you; only fill fields if required by your specific device):


EAP method: PEAP

Phase-2 authentication: Do not validate

CA certificate: Do not validate

Identity: firstname.surname#

Anonymous identity: <leave blank>

Password: yourwifipasswordhere

The network utilises Protected EAP (PEAP). Select this if asked.

If you experience any connectivity issues, please disable any VPN connections and retry.
